In 2017 I started doing a yearly digital Advent calendar called 24 Days of Making, Doing, and Being. I started it because I wanted to offer a bit of respite for people during what is often a very frantic and stressful time of year.
This will be my fourth year writing the digital calendar, but I also wanted to bring it to life in a different way: in print.
The print Advent calendar features some of my favorite prompts from the digital Advent calendar, plus a bunch of new artwork. You can hang this calendar up with some twine and clips, or you can use it more like a card deck, making a daily ritual out of pulling a new card every day.
The holidays will certainly look different in 2020. I think that this year in particular we need reminders to slow down and be in the present moment. We need to remember the things for which we are grateful. We need to be challenged to create a little extra magic in what has felt like a dark and heavy 12 months. So I hope that this calendar is a companion to you, and offers some moments of balance and contentedness.
The daily Advent calendar consists of 24 different 2.75x4.75" cards that are printed in Seattle, Washington with gold and silver ink on black paper. Each card features a different prompt and accompanying artwork. The cards come with a box, so that you can easily store them and use them again next year.
The cards are at the printer and should be arriving at my studio any day now. If you preorder now, you ensure that you will be one of the first to receive the Advent calendar.
Your purchase of the print calendar includes a subscription to this year's digital calendar. All preorders include free U.S. shipping.
